What is collected, and what is not.
WHO SEES IT
Files pass through Cloudflare to our private conversion server. Cloudflare also verifies requests to prevent abuse. Text recognition runs on that server with our own models: document content is never sent to an outside OCR or AI service. Uploads and results are not public or searchable and are not used to train models.
WHAT WE DO NOT KEEP
No account or email is required. A secure session cookie lets you access your own conversions for up to seven days; it does not extend file availability. Technical job metadata and deletion records support reliability and abuse prevention.
HOW LONG
Results become inaccessible 1 hour after conversion. Inputs expire one hour after their last conversion, and unused uploads expire after one hour. Cleanup runs every minute; physical removal can take longer during outages. Download results before they expire.
TECHNICAL DATA
Content-free job metadata lasts seven days; deletion records may remain for recovery. Rate limits use a daily rotating client pseudonym. The browser keeps only job identifiers for reconnection, not extracted text. A temporary file handoff between pages expires after one minute and is removed on consumption or a later visit. Google Analytics measures visits to public pages and may use analytics cookies. Our tool events do not send file names or document text to Google Analytics. We count page visits and tool steps (input, convert, copy, download, share) with Umami and OpenPanel on our own server. Neither sets cookies nor receives file names or document text.
IF YOU WRITE
We only see what you choose to send from the Contact page. Using a tool still does not require an email. A person reads that message, usually the same day.
